Charles Parker grew up in Fayetteville, NC and graduated from UNCG with his Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education in 2014. He then graduated from Florida State Univeristy with an Master of Music in Music Education with a focus in Music Therapy in 2015.

He currently resides in High Point, NC, and teaches at High Point Central High School as the lead Chorus, Orchestra, Music Appreciation, and Music Theory teacher.  Additionally, he is the Music Director, violinist and violist, and an attendee of Mercy Hill Church at their High Point Campus. He plays with the High Point University Community Orchestra as assistant principal in the 2nd violin section or switches to the 1st first violin (though he misses his viola). Other symphony positions include those with the Danville Symphony and with the Greensboro Philharmonia.

He dreams of one day giving an opportunity for students, young and old, to be involved in the performing arts with strings education across the Triad. He's looking forward to partnering with Achieve Arts Academy, Inc. to help create opportunities for students in Winston-Salem with the other board members.
